Candidacy & Consultation
Who is a candidate?
Most skin types, including sensitive and acne-prone, can benefit from properly selected peels. We assess your Fitzpatrick type, current routine, medications, and barrier health to choose safe, effective actives.
Safety-first evaluation
Your evaluation includes a thorough intake, medication review (e.g., isotretinoin, antibiotics), and optional patch testing. We build a plan around your goals, lifestyle, and tolerance—never a one-size-fits-all protocol.

We adjust peel strength and exposure for your melanin level, history of PIH, and sensitivity. We plan around events and sun exposure to minimize risk.
Active infection, open wounds, recent sunburn, pregnancy/breastfeeding (case-by-case), recent isotretinoin, unmanaged dermatitis, or known allergies to peel components.
If you’re reactive or new to exfoliants, we may patch test and start with low-intensity treatments or prep homecare to strengthen your barrier first.

Frequently Asked Questions
Purging shows up where you typically break out and resolves over a few weeks; irritation looks red, stings, or spreads beyond breakout zones. We tailor strength to minimize both.
Yes—your skin is more sun sensitive for several days post-peel. Wear SPF 30+ and avoid direct sun to protect results and reduce risk of PIH.
Most clients resume AHA/BHA/retinoids around day 5–7 once flaking subsides and skin feels comfortable. Follow your personalized plan from the studio.
Many see visible refinement after one session, but best results come from a series of 3–6 at 3–4 week intervals, paired with consistent homecare.
